Have you tried the game yet?
If you have, then there would be some indication of the version number that the game is at, especially if you got it from here.
The version number would usually show up somewhere in the game’s main menu screen.
The latest Hotfix Update for this game (which is still in Early Access Development), is currently at version number: 0.1.14, which was released for both STEAM and GOG, on February 12, 2021 and fixes or adds the following with the game:
Units stuck after load fix
Developer cheat menus can be enabled in settings for play around with the game
Priest resurrection fix
Upgrade to stone tower fix
and some more minor bugs
Since this game appeared here today (February 14, 2021), it may be possible that the game is up to date with Hotfix 0.1.14, but since the only information given in the .NFO for exactly what version number the game has, and what Scene Release Group had released it, the only way to know the version number would be to look at the game’s menu screen.
There is no way to tell if this is the STEAM version or the GOG version.
I had recently checked a GOG version only source, and the version number I saw there was for 0.1.4, released on February 05, 2021.
As it stands, you have two choices if you really want to play this game with all the possible Patches and Hotfixes you can get for an Early Access – Still In Development Game.
You can hope that whatever Scene Release Group released the game, provides some updates for it, and releases them.

You can go ahead and purchase the less than $20.00 game, get all the Patches and Hotfixes that the Game Developers release for it, and when the game reaches it’s final, finished build, with all bugs and issues squashed, you won’t be missing out on anything in terms of having a working game that is 100 % complete.
For a completely DRM-Free experience, I would go with GOG.
Yeah, I tried to find the version in the menu, but unfortunately it doesn’t appear anywhere. The latest fixes you stated are indeed not included in this realease, since those bugs are still in the gam,e (I checked them).
But you are right, since it’s early release it’s probably unlikely to get cracked updates 🙂
