4K re-release includes two expansions and director’s commentary
Remedy Entertainment’s 2010 cult classic Alan Wake is getting a remastered version for multiple platforms. Epic Games’ publishing arm will release Alan Wake Remastered across PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series S/X, and the Epic Games Store on PC.
Originally an Xbox 360-exclusive title that went through a protracted development period, Alan Wake is a psychological thriller where you play a writer searching for his missing wife in the Pacific Northwest. The game was later released for PC in 2012, but Alan Wake Remastered will mark the first time it’s been available on PlayStation platforms.
Epic says the remaster will feature “all-new rendered 4K visuals,” commentary from writer and creative director Sam Lake, and the expansions The Signal and The Writer. Pulp horror-influenced spinoff Alan Wake’s American Nightmare doesn’t appear to be included.
There isn’t a definitive release date for Alan Wake Remastered just yet, but it shouldn’t be too far off — Epic says it’ll be available this fall.
Another shitty remastered , seriously devellopers are awfully lack of idea . Those remastered start to be ridiculous , what is the point of spending money on a game you already know and finished . At least for old player like me , this period of games is completely empty with all those old games re released again , sequel and rebirth in quantity , there is nothing really new and interesting since years . And most of the original games wich were looking interesting are just a bunch of dissapointment . Only some indy games are surprising me since 2 years .
Dont blame skidrowcodex or moan about it here on a pirate site ffs!, they only release what’s available! Either be grateful or be quite!
I cant argue that today’s videogaming industry is broken as hell, but im ALWAYS grateful for these remastered versions of old gems. Its a way to replay those amazing games with beautiful graphics and remembering the old golden age of videogames. Otherwise, these games will be basically unplayable, due to the lack of graphic quality. But hey! many games today look almost the same as games from 1995 lol, and even older, its what it is. Dont blame the groups that upload games here, blame, in first place, Steam, that allows every single piece of garbage to be published without even testing any single game. Or Gog, ultimately.
..and of course, blame the new gamers, that buy everything they see. They keep boosting the terrible quality of today’s gaming industry.
Can’t wait! I’ve played it on Xbox 360, and I want to play it once again on PC.
Same here 😉
