Visceral Games’ sci-fi survival horror classic, originally released in 2008, is being remade by Electronic Arts’ Motive studio, the publisher announced during Thursday’s EA Play Live digital showcase. The new Dead Space is coming to PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.
Motive is best known for its work on Star Wars Battlefront 2’s single-player campaign and Star Wars: Squadrons.
The new Dead Space will be a remake, not a remaster, of engineer Isaac Clarke’s terrifying adventure aboard the USG Ishimura spaceship, Electronic Arts said. A teaser trailer shown during EA Play Live offered little in the way of detail, but the Dead Space remake appears faithful to the dark and gory original game that spawned a franchise.
There’s currently no release date.
oh back on ishimura, i still remember everything, i played the original 3 times, and only with new graphics like metro exodus (remaster), (only for raytracing supported cards) aaawh
what about Dead Space 4
Dead Space 4 was abandoned when visceral games was closed… i think EA wants to do the reboot because do the dead space 4 and give it a final is more complicated than reboot the story and give it another focus, also the story from 3 was already a bit scattered and generic to finish it … and they would have to go to the old voice doublers and character models … so they rather erase everything from the blackboard and do everything of again … they will probably change the question of how isaac (or what the new character is called) will reach the ishimura (alone or in company) if he will find more survivors or not, he will find out that his wife died or he will see her commit suicide or he will lose her in his arms … infinite possibilities for changes, some subtle others very big … and hopefully and I trust you will do well so that this version can see an end, something that its predecessor could not
No they just want to make money off Viscerals corpse, I’m betting 10$ it’ll be a horrible game with loads of microtransactions or just a hd remake… with loads of shitty microtransactions.

Yes it is but people have been screaming for a remasters of all 3 games for years.
The first two Dead Space games were great. There is no reason to remake them. They were perfect or near perfect. Instead of remaking epic games, maybe they should focus on a Dead Space 4 or something.
Woo-ho! I have never played Dead Space before and I have never get spoiled about the ending. Its gonna be fun!
