Codemasters has released the first full gameplay trailer for F1 2018, the official video game of the 2018 FIA Formula One World Championship, and it’s two and a half minutes of VVVVVVVVVVVRMMMMMMMM.
Picture this, it’s Sunday, Dad’s got F1 on the telly, the roast is almost ready, and you’re bored because you’d rather be watching re-runs of Ren & Stimpy. That’s pretty the extent of knowledge I have with F1, but for those of you who love watching the fastest car chase in the world, you might be interested in this year’s entry in the series.
Back for another year, players can expect to find the most in-depth career mode seen in the franchise offering 20 classic cars from the sport’s rich history. F1 2018 will also boast improved visuals and reworked vehicle handling as well as more in-depth ways for players to manage their teams.
Multiplayer has also been improved too with a brand new Super License system which essentially pools crappy players into their own lobbies while serious more skilled players are matched with players of a similar ability and driving style.
To prove just how good this year’s entry is going to be, check out the debut gameplay trailer below.
F1 2018 launches on August 24 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
