I also had trouble getting it to launch…
Try disabling your internet connection before launching it for the first time. It worked for me.
@drifter7 that didn’t work for me either
The game WILL NOT LAUNCH if you have Explorer window with game folder open. Quit that folder or close the Explorer and then run the game via desktop icon. On the first launch the game will hang for a few minutes with a black screen – that’s OK, just wait.
