Toru, an ordinary college student, is invited by his girlfriend Mari to go on a ski trip and stay at the pension “Shupur”. A sudden snowstorm hits the pension, and he and the other guests are locked in their rooms. And then a gruesomely murdered body is discovered. The nightmare begins.

Toru, Mari and the others are invited to move from the pension in the snowy mountains to the isolated island of Mikazukijima, far away in the ocean. A creepy nursery rhyme passed down on the island brings death one after another. A locked room, an alibi, a mysterious person. Various mysteries once again attack the invited guests.

One year has passed since the tragedy at Mikazukikan. With their own thoughts in mind, Toru, Toshio, Keiko and other people involved at the time are back at Mikazukikan. As if drawn by the promised fear… Kamaitachi no Yoru, to its true “conclusion”.
