Why does this fucking OFFICIAL skidrowcodex site posts links with the game that lead to scam websites, malware and sites that breach your pc with crypto mining. Can someone fucking explain why is noone talking about this?
Thanks, it worked good =)
Not gonna buy until is on steam… so thank u
@guto,
I guess you won’t try it either? … How will you know it’s any good if you don’t try before you buy?
It’s funny how you say that you won’t buy the game until it’s available on Steam, but do you realize that you will have to be waiting until the beginning or near to the end of next year before it becomes available on Steam in 2021?
You can go on Steam’s storefront page for the game and confirm this yourself.
Also, you probably aren’t aware that this game will also be available on GOG completely DRM-Free in 2021.
So if you are set with buying your games only from Steam, as you most likely don’t like The Epic Game Store, then enjoy playing them with a Denuvo and DRM infested presence on your PC.
If you would rather play a DRM-Free game, well… you can…. but you will have to wait for that until 2021, next year, so enjoy waiting… it’s your call.
why is it only 7.4gb in size? shouldnt it be like 40gb?
Some people on other game related sites are saying that “Mortal Shell” is a Souls-like game, yet I can’t really make any comparison to any of the three games within the Dark Souls series as I have yet to play a Dark Souls game myself.
My experience from what I got out of playing this game for a bit, while gradually progressing further into it, was that it doesn’t seem to have any sort of a story tied to it. I don’t know if this was intentionally done by the developers of the game or not, but if there was supposed to be a story, it is pretty much non existent in the game, save for a small descriptive feature you get when you upgrade your skills for any one of the four fallen warriors (or “Shells”) in this case, where you hear a narrative story read out for whatever chosen skill you add to the current “Shell” you have discovered and possessed.
There is also no clear way of knowing what your primary goal is or even what your main objective for the main character you control is, and what you are supposed to do, which kind of left me wondering what the whole premise behind the making of this game really was.
The game itself seems to be highly focused on the idea of wandering around different environmental areas and making your own path, until you come across a point where you can’t go any further, or you happen to come across an area that is familiar to where you have already been.
Although having a map on screen to guide you along to where you need to go, or at least having one that you could call up within your inventory would have been nice, the sense of exploration is something that some game players might not like, but I didn’t really mind the lack of not having an accessible map to use.
The game also seems to focus much on battles and boss fights you happen to encounter from time to time, with a mix of crawling through tunnels in different environments to explore things that are hidden away from your view until you encounter them like fallen warrior shells, objects of interest that boost your skills, experience, or your health.
The game doesn’t really do a good job at explaining any of the objects of interest you happen to pick up until you happen to use the same type of item at least 10 times to get any real description of what it’s use is and what it’s meant for.
There is a point in the game itself where you will encounter some sort of a masked Priestess named Sester Genessa who you can speak to, which will open up your skills wheel to add your chosen set of skills to the current “Shell” you possessed.
Whatever weapon in your possession you have can also be enhanced, but you have to do quite a bit of exploring to find key items to enhance or enchant your weapons and use them near an anvil.
If you can look past all the collect this, collect that, should I go here, or should I go there exploration in this game, you might enjoy it, and it can be fun to play.
Word of advice, you will die often, so a health cheat will come handy.
anyone stuck at 99% from the linked torrent
Hey Guys, why my game does not save ? please, asware me. every time back to the inicial point. never save. why ?
To the guy who can’t come up with a better Username…
The game automatically saves at certain checkpoints when you a pass an area such as Fallgrim or any other area that is marked with a symbol on a wall that looks like a mask surrounded by a wheel with ritualistic symbols around it. When you pass that point, the game will save it as a checkpoint.
When you die, you will be brought back to whatever checkpoint you were last at.
So…. you can either choose to Continue from that Checkpoint, or Load any one of the other checkpoints you have been at.
I would love to know who the one idiot is that downvotes my comments.
If anything, most of the comments I make are either informative, helpful, or draw upon my own personal experiences with some of the games I play.
Sometimes I may even reply to a comment someone else has made to share an opinion or a view, but what’s wrong with that?
Personally this site could do well without the silly rating system of giving votes to Members and Guests here for the comments they make.
After all, this isn’t some community based board or Social Media platform, and it sure as heck isn’t YouTube where different people are clicking on that like or thumbs up button to vote or downvote what they like or don’t like.
If I could have it my way, I would completely remove the rating system, it’s not like anyone here will miss it if it’s gone, and no one here is going to win any prize for being the one with the most Up Votes of the year here either, so yeah…. kind of pointless to have it.
Now, let the downvoting wars begin.

Rolling back changes…
Error!
Now i dont know that to do :c
@ferdi12487,
If you have Windows Defender or are using an Anti-Virus program, you will need to temporarily turn both off before you try to install the game with the installer.
Both Windows Defender and your Anti-Virus program will try to block and prevent the proper installation and progress of the game you are installing on your system.
To avoid getting errors like the one you are getting, you will need to temporarily turn off the above two programs I mentioned. If you are still getting issues with the installer, then boot your PC into Windows Safe Mode without Networking, run the installer, browse to the drive where you want the game to be installed to, and when the game has successfully been installed, restart your PC and allow it to boot normally back into Windows.
Run the game from the icon on your Windows Desktop, or from Windows Start Menu, Enjoy!
IMPORTANT NOTE: The game takes up 11.0 GB of free HDD or SSD storage space, so you will need to make sure that you have enough storage space on one of your drives to be able to install and run the game from.
Thx! Never had a problem with codex and my anti-virus thats why i didnt consider this xD It did help turning it off though :3
@ferdi12487,
You are welcome, enjoy the game!
MORTAL SHELL SAVE GAME PLUS
——————————————————–
I recently finished this unique game and I am sharing my Save Game Plus for Mortal Shell.
I have uploaded my Save Game Plus to zippyshare and you will find the link for it below, but first let’s get to what this Save Game Plus has.
The Save Game Plus, is the New Game Plus for Mortal Shell which has all the armours/mortal shells and all weapons found and available for use, right from the start in one convenient area where you can access it all from inside the Fallgrim Tower.
All four of the following armours/mortal shells are available for use and can be selected at any time from within the Fallgrim Tower:
Eredrim the King Knight/Warrior, Solomon the Scholar, Tiel the Acolyte, and Harros the Vassal.
All four of the following Weapons are available for use at any time as well from inside of Fallgrim Tower:
The Hammer and Chisel, the Smoldering Mace, The Hallowed Sword, and the Martyr’s Blade.
Health is maxed out to it’s fullest capacity, while Stamina may still need to be maxed out to it’s full capacity.
All experience is maxed out to it’s full capacity.
My New Game Plus Save also has some of the abilities obtained for the Weapons, but you will still need to look for and find the required equipment to forge the weapons you have into a more powerful form.
Some skills for some of the mortal shells are also already obtained, while the remaining skill sets will still need to be added using enough available tar (your currency) to purchase it.
Instructions and where to put the Game Save Plus in the correct location, including where inside of Fallgrim Tower you can switch between the four different mortal shells and weapons, can all be found in the Read Me.txt file inside of the MortalShell folder once extracted from the zip file, so be sure to read that.
